The Modern Funeral is an independent, women-led funeral director Brighton & Hove. We have been caring for people since 2012.
Being independent shapes how we work. There is no chain and no script. The person you speak to will stay alongside you, help you make the arrangements and care for the person who has died. We welcome every kind of family, including chosen family, and we are proudly queer and trans inclusive. You can be yourselves with us.
Our approach is nature-led wherever possible, with woodland and natural burial, coffins made from natural materials and gentle body care without unnecessary intervention.
