Standardised Price List

The prices below are set in the format required by the Competition and Markets Authority under the Funerals Market Investigation Order 2021, so you can compare funeral directors clearly. Effective August 2026.

Attended funeral

A funeral where family and friends have a ceremony, event or service for the person who has died while attending their burial or cremation. Our funeral director charges include the services listed below. The likely third-party costs are shown separately.

Arranging and conducting the funeral£1,450
Collecting and transporting the person who has died from the place of death into our care
This is normally within 15 miles.
£345
Care of the person who has died before the funeral in appropriate facilities
Resting with us for up to 14 nights. We prefer natural body care and do not routinely embalm.
£300
A suitable coffin — a wood-effect coffin
A wide range of coffins is available. We also offer coffinless options.
£375
Viewing, by appointment£210
Taking the person who has died to the cemetery or crematorium
Normally within 20 miles. Carried by our team, or by those attending. A hired hearse is £330.
£210
Total cost of our services — funeral director’s charges only£2,890

You will also have to pay for third-party costs (sometimes called disbursements) to municipal or private providers. The figures below are estimates for our most common local cremation funeral and will vary with your choices around time of day, day of the week, or day of the year:

Cremation fee — an early attended service (Woodvale, 9.30am, 30-minute chapel)£631
Officiant's or celebrant's fee£350
Estimated total cost of an attended funeral£3,871

A burial instead of a cremation replaces the cremation fee with the cemetery or natural burial ground's charges for the grave and interment, which vary by site (see our full price list).

Unattended cremation aka “direct cremation”

A funeral where family and friends do not attend the cremation. A separate goodbye can be held whenever the time feels right. Our charges for this include collecting and caring for the person who has died, a coffin, and taking them to the crematorium:

Arranging the funeral£800
Collecting the person who has died into our care and caring for them before the funeral£645
A suitable coffin — a simple low-cost coffin
Coffinless options are available.
£200
Taking the person who has died to the crematorium£210
Total cost of our services — funeral director’s charges only£1,855
Cremation fee — an unattended cremation (Woodvale)£460
Estimated total cost of an unattended cremation£2,315
